About the Society
The Amwell Society celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2022. It was founded in 1972 to preserve the special character of the area bounded by Pentonville Road, Penton Rise, Kings Cross Road, Farringdon Road, Rosebery Avenue and St John Street.
Our Mission
The society’s mission is to preserve the integrity of the Amwell area and work as hard as we can to maintain our little patch of inner London as a village within the vast city.
The Committee
The committee is made up of residents all of whom volunteer their time to steer and help the Society make our area a safe and welcoming place to live.
